ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Happy Friday Eve! Here’s what we’re serving up today on Midwest Access
SEGMENT 1: Grillin’ & Chillin’ - Destination Bar-B-Q’s One Pan Cornbread with Hot Honey

SEGMENT 2: Grillin’ & Chillin’ - Wildwood Sports Bar & Grill’s Country Style Pork Ribs

SEGMENT 3: Grillin’ & Chillin’ - The Reveal
SEGMENT 4: Experience Rochester June Events
If you live in Rochester, you already know this town is more than appointments and parking ramps. But this summer, Experience Rochester wants you to really lean into everything happening in your own backyard.
The Mayo Civic Center is packed, starting with A Taste of Ireland tomorrow, June 5. It’s a high‑energy Irish dance show with world‑class dancers, modern music, and even a cappella tap battles. You don’t have to be Irish – or know anything about dance – to enjoy it.
Comedy fans get not one but two big names in June. Fortune Feimster brings her “Taking Care of Biscuits” tour on June 11, fresh off roles in Netflix’s “FUBAR” and voice work in “Zootopia 2.”
Then Sal Vulcano, from “Impractical Jokers,” returns on June 14 with his “Everything’s Fine” tour after drawing a packed house on his last visit. As Erin O’Brien from Experience Rochester puts it, “Comedy always does great here in Rochester. It’s such a release.”
Experience Rochester’s summer campaign, “This is Rochester, Really,” is as much for locals as it is for visitors. The reminder: you don’t have to leave town to have a great weekend. Between Thursdays Downtown with live music, food, and vendors, miles of walking and biking trails, and easy access to parks and rivers, you can build a full summer calendar without going far.
And if you haven’t explored the local food scene lately, O’Brien says you’re missing out. Spots like Blue Duck (flying in oysters from Maine) and Our Paladar (a Cuban‑inspired restaurant in the historic train depot) are just two examples of how global and creative Rochester’s dining has become.
So instead of planning that long road trip, you might just need to look around. This is Rochester, really – and it’s a pretty great place to spend your summer.
SEGMENT 5: Real Talk with Robin - Relocating In and Out of Rochester
In a city known for constant comings and goings, Robin Gwaltney of The Gwaltney Group has become a trusted guide for Rochester buyers and sellers—whether they’re moving across town or across the country.
Robin is licensed throughout Minnesota, but she knows it’s not always in a client’s best interest to use an agent who isn’t a local expert. That’s where her network comes in. She works with RE/MAX Results, the largest RE/MAX franchise in North America, with about 43 offices and 1,400 agents across Minnesota and Wisconsin. On top of that, she’s built relationships with top agents nationwide through conferences and “elite retreats” for the top 1% of RE/MAX agents.
So when a Rochester client says, “I want someone just like you, but I’m moving to Detroit, Scottsdale, San Diego, or Boston,” she can personally match them with someone who works the way she does—hands‑on, thorough, and focused on protecting their investment.
That protection‑first mindset is central to how Robin does business. She’s known for being transparent and sometimes a little tough if it keeps her clients out of trouble.
“I tell people I will talk twice as hard to talk you out of buying a house as I’m ever going to talk you into buying one,” she says.
She remembers a young couple who fell for a house with a huge tree right by the front door—roots lifting the sidewalk and likely already in the pipes. Robin refused to represent them on that purchase, warning it was “a disaster in the making.” They bought it with another agent and called her two years later, upset and trying to sell. For Robin, it was proof of why honesty matters.
“This is my reputation on the line,” she says. “I got to where I am because I take good care of people, and they know I’m telling them the truth. They don’t hesitate to refer me to their friends—and here we are.”
If you’re in the Rochester area and thinking about buying, selling, or relocating, Robin makes it simple to reach out.
“I love to answer my cell phone,” she says. “People are surprised, but I do.”
