Minnesota State College Southeast has a new interim president

RED WING, Minn. (KTTC) – Minnesota State Colleges and Universities shares who will serve as interim president of Minnesota State College Southeast.

Derrick Lindstrom will officially take over the leadership position on July 1.

Lindstrom has decades of experience in academic leadership roles, with his most recent post as vice president of academic affairs at North Hennepin Community College.

Before that, he served as academic dean for Minneapolis College’s School of Liberal Arts and Cultures.

Lindstrom succeeds Marsha Danielson, who announced her retirement after serving as president since 2021.

He’s expected to lead the Red Wing and Winona-based community college for one year while the Minnesota state college system searches for a permanent candidate.
