(Gray News) - More than 4 million tubes of toothpaste, including a popular children’s brand, have been recalled.

The Food and Drug Administration reported that several varieties of Brush Buddies toothpaste have been recalled. The recalled toothpastes include Barbie-, Hot Wheels-, My Little Pony- and Crayola-branded flavors.

Lots of Evo advanced whitening and sensitive toothpaste, as well as ARU gum health and cavity protection toothpaste were also recalled.

The recalled toothpastes were all distributed by Ashtel Studios Inc. in Ontario, California, and sold nationwide.

A full list of the impacted toothpastes and their corresponding lot numbers can be found on the recall’s enforcement report.

The recall was first initiated on Sept. 10, 2026. Its certification was updated to a Class II recall on Oct. 22.

A Class II recall signifies that using the affected product could result in “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.” However, the likelihood of having a severe “health consequence” is very low.

On the recall’s enforcement report, the reason for the recall is listed as deviations in “current good manufacturing practice.” However, the FDA did not disclose any further details about the cause of the recall.
