Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley recovering at home after weekend surgery

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Both chambers of Congress are currently in session, but one Iowa lawmaker will be working from home this week.

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley (R) posted on X, saying he had a procedure over the weekend in Iowa to remove gallstones.

Sen. Grassley says he received “excellent care” from local health providers.

According to his office, the 92-year-old lawmaker is in good spirits and looks forward to returning to the Capitol.
