Cerro Gordo County deputies arrest multiple people after traffic stop leads to drug bust
CERRO GORDO COUNTY, Iowa (KTTC) – A narcotics trafficking investigation ends with multiple people arrested on drug-related charges in Cerro Gordo County.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies and State Troopers stopped a vehicle around 7:30 Friday night along I-35.
The two occupants of the car were arrested after search of the car uncovered eight pounds of meth and one ounce of cocaine.
A search warrant was then conducted at a home along Quince Avenue in Mason City.
Several people, including one with outstanding arrest warrants, were found inside along with meth and firearms.
Subsequently, Barry Rowe, 66, of Mason City, was arrested for a probation violation warrant out of Floyd County.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle, Bruce Sogard, 68, and Mark Albrecht, 69, both of Mason City, are facing charges of possession with intent to deliver.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sherriff’s Office, more charges are pending as the investigation continues.
