America’s oldest living Marine veteran to celebrate 105th birthday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA/Gray News) - An Alabama native who stands as the oldest living United States Marine veteran recently celebrated his 105th birthday.

Roy Drinkard was the center of attention Friday for a party held in his honor. Several Alabama politicians came out to his party to wish him a happy birthday.

Drinkard also received a letter from President Donald Trump.

Born July 12, 1920, Drinkard served in World War II and later became a successful businessman known for developing shopping centers across the Southeast.
