ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Leaders from Rochester nonprofits announced today the launch of the Hope at Home Fund.

The mission, launched by the Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association, Family Promise Rochester, Channel One Regional Food Bank and Southeastern Minnesota Interfaith Immigrant Legal Defense, will address families at risk of eviction and hunger after sudden losses of income.

On its website, Family Promise Rochester identified families missing work due to safety concerns as the reason for why they became at-risk of eviction.

The fund is supported by several organizations including First Alliance Credit Union, Alliance of Chicanos, Hispanics, and Latin Americans, Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation and Pamoja Women.

According to Family Promise Rochester’s website, referrals for Hope at Home will be accepted by them through community partners trusted among community members.

Those interested in donating can do so on Family Promise Rochester’s website.
