Ben Lewer

Ben Lewer joined Northern News Now in January 2023 as the Digital Content Producer. In May 2023, he moved to the Assignment Editor position.

Ben grew up on a farm outside of New Richland, MN, and moved to the Northland after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022.

During college, Ben was a part of WSUM student radio, an improv team, and the Wisconsin Track Club (go Cows!).

He graduated with degrees in business and communication arts: radio-television-film.

Ben loves the Upper Midwest, from the prairies to the pines. He is excited to be serving the communities of northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP.

In his free time, Ben enjoys trail running, camping, learning about local history, and discovering new bands.
