KaMaria Braye joined KTTC News in Jan. 2020. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, where she attended DeLaSalle High School. KaMaria received her bachelor's degree in journalism from Lincoln University of Missouri.
She received her master's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri- Columbia (MIZ). While at Mizzou, she worked as a reporter and anchor for KOMU-TV.
She extensively covered the Minneapolis protests following the death of George Floyd, and the Derek Chauvin trial.
Some fun facts about KaMaria include that she spent two years serving as an Elementary Literacy Tutor through AmeriCorps. She is a former radio personality. She was Miss Lincoln University of Missouri and was featured on Ebony Magazine's website. She played collegiate tennis.
KaMaria enjoys pageants. She has been a contestant and award winner within the Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant, and Miss Minnesota USA. She has also judged state pageants.
