Dylan Smith
Meteorologist

Dylan Smith joined the First Alert Weather Team in January 2019 as a Meteorologist. He was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Growing up there, Dylan was always fascinated by weather and the afternoon storms that would roll through the area every summer. He would watch the local news every night with his father just to see the local meteorologists and what they had to say. This led him to the University of South Alabama where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. While in college, Dylan joined organizations such as the American Meteorological Society's South Alabama chapter and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Dylan was acting Chaplin for two years in the fraternity and he participated in many of the organization's philanthropy events for people with disabilities. Dylan also interned at WXXV television station in Gulfport, Mississippi while in college.
Dylan has been an active golfer and enjoys playing any chance he gets. In addition music has also been a big part of his life ever since he was on the drum line in his high school marching band. This experience enhanced his love of sports especially football. Dylan is a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan as well as other professional sports teams in Atlanta. He is looking forward to going sporting events while in the Midland-Odessa area especially some high school games which he has heard so much about. Other than sports, Dylan enjoys spending time outside hiking and staying active. He is very excited to be in West Texas and to serve the fine people of this area, while having the opportunity to do his dream job. You can e-mail Dylan anytime at DylanSmith@kwes.com.
