UPDATE: Crash caused traffic backup on northbound U.S. 52 in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A four vehicle crash slowed up traffic in northwest Rochester during the evening commute.

According the Minnesota State Patrol, the four vehicles were northbound on U.S. 52 when they collided near 55th Street just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Three of the four drivers received no injuries. The driver of the fourth vehicle, a 19-year-old Stewartville man, was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The State Patrol said all four drivers were wearing seat belts and the sole occupants in their respective vehicles.

No word on what led up to the crash, which caused significant travel delays while emergency crews worked the scene.
