ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Many journalists have come through the newsroom at KTTC and continued to larger markets and networks around the country. The news anchors and reporters who started in the 1950′s are the on-air pioneers. Names like Ray Thompson and Cal Smith were on the news; Bernie Lusk tackled sports. In the 1960′s, Bill Ingram took over the helm as the main nightly news anchor. Bob Ryan came to the scene in 1971 and continued to do television work into the 1980′s.

Decades have passed. Thousands of news anchors and reporters later, the work of sharing stories of the region hasn’t stopped.

Tom Overlie spoke to just some of those journalists to see the impact that KTTC had on their lives.
