ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Rochester Police Department (RPD) said minors were involved in the case that led to seven arrests at Motel 6 on Wednesday.

The department said it’s been investigating people who were suspected of dealing drugs at the motel.

Police seized seven grams of meth, a small amount of marijuana, and dozens of blue M30 pills which are counterfeit oxycodone pills.

“Counterfeit M30 pills have been known to contain fentanyl, which has been responsible for numerous overdoses, including deaths, locally in Rochester and nationwide. One pill can kill,” said RPD.

Rochester Police Department confirmed that seven people were arrested at Motel 6.

RPD said search warrants were executed in five rooms at the motel around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

“They told everybody to move out the way and get on the ground. And the next thing I heard is them barging into the doors,” said Tarica Jones, a witness.

”They took everybody out and searched the rooms, ripped everything apart. They searched my car and took everything out of my car,” said Charles Hadler, a witness.

Hadler said he was detained by law enforcement but was later released.

“I was just in the office filling up a lunch box with some ice so I could cool my drinks off. And I turn around and there’s three cops and a sheriff trying to put me in cuffs. I barely knew what was happening at the moment,” he said.

Law enforcement said fentanyl, methamphetamine, and weapons were seized.

Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the incident.

RPD said a pepper ball was used on some of the people who were “uncooperative” during the search.

In previous interviews, law enforcement has confirmed that Olmsted County is a high drug traffic area.
