Bargain Bins is Austin’s new discount store
AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) – Bargain Bins is a warehouse of wooden bins that are overflowing with discounted items.
“Fun stuff for my niece and nephew,” said Melanie Jacobs.
“I found a mosquito net, and we like to camp a lot so I found a canopy as well,” said Darcy Sexton.
Bargain Bin’s products include jewelry, bikes, shoes, apparel, and electronics.
“I got a karaoke thing here, “ said Danielle Hinz. “I looked this up online and it actually is around $25 to $30 dollars and I’m getting it for $10 today.”
“We really like to bargain and find good deals and thrift and whatnot, so this was way up our alley,” Sexton said.
“You never know what you’re going to find at the bottom of the pile,” said Sue Hinsch.
Some of the items for purchase come from Target and Home Depot.
“It’s taken us three weeks to get this ready,” said Kaine Lusby, owner.
He said it’s the first store of its kind within the city and that he had to open the store early on Friday because there was a long line wrapped around the building.
The national inflation has forced many companies to increase the cost of products, but Bargain Bins said customers won’t have to worry about that issue in its store.
“We’re not going to raise our prices. We start our week off at $10. We’ll always be like that. You won’t ever have to worry about coming in here and that it’s 10 dollar day and that we turn it into $15,” said Whitney King, assistant manager.
The store also has daily deals for the total cost of items:
- Sunday: $7
- Monday: $5
- Tuesday: $3
- Wednesday: $1
- Thursday: Closed
- Friday: $10
- Saturday: $9
“If you want the best deal, I would come on a Friday, because you’re going to have the better stuff,” Lusby said
