Search to be held Saturday for missing UW-La Crosse student
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -A search is being organized for a missing University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student.
According to a release by UW-La Crosse, in partnership with the family of the missing student, Hamud Faal, the City of La Crosse Police Department, and UW-La Crosse Police Department, a search is being organized for Saturday, Feb. 26.
Together they are looking for approximately 170 volunteers to help. Search volunteers are required to check-in at Noon at the traffic circle located at the end of State Street in Riverside Park. UW-La Crosse notes this is where the Eagle statue was previously located.
To participate in the search, you are required to provide name, phone, email address, and local address. The search is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. They encourage volunteers to dress appropriately considering the weather, and to wear a safety vest if they own one.
