ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A big fan-favorite in the Winter Olympics is curling. The men’s team, from Duluth, took home the gold four years ago in PyeongChang. Team Shuster hopes to bring home another medal this year.

Knowing the rules of the game is important. Check out the attached video for more details.

“It’s about getting the stones closest to the middle of the rings, or closest to the middle of the house at the other end. The same number of color stones closest to the middle scores points. One team scores points at a time,” Steve Russell with the Curling Club of Rochester said.

He was nice enough to join KTTC’s Kamie Roesler on the ice.

In the team events, both the USA men’s and women’s curling teams begin Wednesday against the Russian Olympic Committee. Both will be carried LIVE on the Peacock App. The men start at 6 a.m. The women start at 7 p.m. The women will also air on CNBC.
