ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Governor Tim Walz has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on January 22 to honor a first responder with ties to Rochester.
Reverend Brian Alnes died earlier this month due to complications from a medical condition obtained while in the line of duty.
Alnes served as a firefighter in the Twin Cities area, but years ago he served as a Youth Pastor at Salem Road Covenant Church in Rochester.
All state and U.S. flags at state buildings in Minnesota will be flown at half staff from sunrise to sunset on January 22.
