Albert Lea counseler, girls basketball coach accused of sexual conduct, placed on administrative leave
ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) – An Albert Lea high school counselor and girls varsity basketball coach has been arrested and placed on administrative leave after being accused of criminal sexual conduct.
Albert Lea Area Schools confirmed in a press release Thursday that Richard John Polley has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
His coaching duties have also been assumed by an assistant until further notice.
According to the Freeborn County Adult Detention Center, Polley was arrested Thursday and is charged with 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
