ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A Rochester restaurant is giving back by offering free soup and clothing every week, ahead of Christmas.

Every Monday from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. until Christmas Day, Chez Bojji on 301 N Broadway Ave. will be giving out free soup and winter coats for children.

Owner Youness Bojji said he experienced poverty when he was younger and wanted to help others going through a difficult time.

“It’s the decent thing to do,” Bojji said. “I’ve been there. I’ve felt it. If you can prevent that from happening to other people, then you are doing a decent job. It’s simple.”

Bojji said he is also collecting new jackets and other winter gear for children. The gear will be hanging up next to the soup stand for anyone to take.”

“This is for everyone, no questions asked, no judgement,” Bojji said.”
