Clear Lake prepares for ‘Festival of Trees’
CLEAR LAKE, Iowa. (KTTC) – Clear Lake is getting ready for its 26th annual Festival of Trees. More than 100 Christmas trees of all sizes will be on display and for sale at One Vision’s Kinney Lindstrom Center in Clear Lake.
The festival is a fundraiser for One Vision, a nonprofit organization that supports more than 400 people with disabilities throughout 30 North Iowa communities.
Trees are decorated by volunteers. Events planned during the festival include special activities for families, the Lights on 5K, an opening gala and cookie walk. There will be live music as well. This all takes place the weekend of December 3-5.
FRIDAY, DEC. 3 from 5-8 p.m. - Opening Night Gala. Tickets for the Opening Night Gala are $45 per person in advance at www.ovfot.org., or $50 at the door.
SATURDAY, DEC. 4 from 9am-1pm - Indoor forest of fully decorated trees. The cookie walk begins at 9 a.m. until sold out. Family-friendly activities include pictures with Santa, take and make crafts, letters to Santa and a scavenger hunt with a drawing for prizes
