No one hurt in I-90 car fire

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The Rochester Police Department says no one was hurt after a car fire on Interstate 90 tonight. It happened near the Chatfield exit on I-90 at mile marker 218.

The flames from the vehicle spread to the ditch and caused a significant grass fire. RFD was able to extinguish the flames with minimal spread.

The car was a total loss. No word on what caused it.

Multiple agencies responded: Rochester Police Dept.; Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Stewartville Fire Department and Minnesota State Patrol.
