ALBERT LEA, MN (FOX 47) -- The South Central SWAT Team gathered Saturday afternoon in response to a possible aggravated assault and kidnap.

One person was sent to the Albert Lea Hospital.

Albert Lea Police say the SWAT team responded to a house on the 600 block of Ruble Avenue round noon Saturday.

A 45-year-old man visiting the apartment called police from a local gas station, saying he had been assaulted.

Police took a total of five people into custody. They were later released.

An 18-year-old male could be charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping as early as Monday.

J.D. Carlson, with the Albert Lea Police Department, says, "We believe the assault happened within the residence on Ruble Avenue. Obviously, at the time the assault was going on, we believe that the individual wasn't allowed to leave; that they were keeping him there against his will."

The cause of the assault is still under investigation.
