Winter Farmers Market has it feeling more like summer in Rochester

ROCHESTER, MN (FOX 47) -- Snow, sleet and ice has it feeling like winter, but it's all summer-like in southeast Rochester.

The Third Annual Winter Market kicked off Saturday morning at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds.

It's not every day you can buy locally-grown items in the dead of winter.

At market this week: cabbage, elk, honey, and sweet breads, to name a few.

Many of the nearly 30 vendors say a winter market helps to keep customers satisfied year-round.

The market opens again at 9:00 a.m. January 17th at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds, and runs every other week through April.
