MN teen in trouble after shopping spree with stolen money

LAKE CITY, MN (FOX 47) -- A Minnesota man is in hot water after stealing a quarter-million dollars from his grandfather and going on a shopping spree with a friend.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the men are ages 18 and 19. One of them was arrested at his father's home in Lake City.

Authorities say the men bought at least 6 cars, a flat screen TV and other items. They gave many of the items to friends and family as gifts and even handed out $100 bills to friends.

The other man fled to Kentucky and is being held there.
