Police respond to New Year's Eve shooting in NW Rochester

ROCHESTER, MN (FOX 47) -- Rochester police spent part of their New Year's Eve at an apartment building - after a fight leads to a gun shot.

Just before 8:30 Wednesday night, officers responded to the Innsbruck Apartment Complex on 50th Street Northwest.

That's when they say a handgun had been fired at least once.

According to police, the bullet didn't cause any injuries, but the fight between two people sent one of them to Saint Marys hospital for a non-life threatening injury.

Police have not taken anyone into custody and don't believe those involved lived at the apartment complex.
