Kitchen damaged in Brownsdale fire

BROWNSDALE, MN (FOX 47) -- Brownsdale fire crews got called to a residential fire around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived, they found a kitchen in flames.

Firefighter Dave Pike says the fire was isolated to the kitchen, where it had started.

The resident was not home when the fire broke out, but came home to discover what had happened.

Dave Pike, with the Brownsdale Fire Department, says, "Upon arrival we found a kitchen involved in the fire, basically, it was isolated to the room where it had started."

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

Firefighters say the residence is salvageable.
