Gas is cheaper, but you might have to shovel this winter afterall

ROCHESTER, MN (FOX 47) -- As winter approaches and that snow begins to fall - you might find yourself hard-pressed keeping your driveways clear.

One of the nation's snowblower makers is having a hard time finding engines to power the machines. And that means you might have a hard time finding a snowblower.

It's another sign of the stumbling economy, as manufacturers, like Airens, are running into problems just getting parts to put together their products.

Airens is now looking at two other engine manufacturers so that it can continue production.

If you do find a snowblower - at least it won't cost you a pretty penny to fill it up.

Gas prices in parts of southeast Minnesota have finally dropped below the $2.00 a gallon for unleaded mark.

A Super America off 55th Street Northwest in Rochester has prices at $1.99, along with the nearby Kwik Trip.

The current average across the state is at $2.08 a gallon. That's almost one dollar cheaper this same time last year when gas prices averaged at $3.05 a gallon.
