Senate candidates clash in their final debate

Posted: Updated:

ST. PAUL, MN (FOX 47) -- Hot on the heels of a new poll that gives Al Franken a four point lead in the US Senate race, candidates clashed in a no-holds bar debate Sunday night.

Months of tension between Franken and Norm Coleman spilled out at Saint Paul's Fitzgerald Theater.

The Republican and Democrat traded heated accusations about the allegations against Coleman in a lawsuit.

Coleman again denied that he has taken any money or gifts from supporters without disclosing it.

That poll shows Franken up 45 percent to 40 percent over Coleman, and Independence candidate Dean Barkly at 14 percent.
