Rochester Superintendent says he's pleased with review

ROCHESTER, MN (FOX 47) -- The Rochester school board met Tuesday night and announced the results of Superintendent Dr. Dallemand's review.

Overall, Dallemand's review was more positive this time around than his six-month assessment.

45 out of the 60 evaluations were completed, rating Dallemand's performance on seven subjects.

Many commented positively on his work to close the opportunity gap and working with the community, parents and business leaders.

Some areas cited for improvement were better communication to teachers in general, but especially regarding the progress of the five-year plan.

Dallemand says he's pleased with the results.

Dallemand says, "It's good confirmation of the work that we're doing. When we look at the results, somewhere around nearly 90 percent of the respondents had something neutral or positive to say. In our business, it's considered an 'A'."

The school board will have another review of Dallemand after one year.

By that time, the school board should have a good grasp on the results of the five-year plan.
