Faith and fairness town hall

ROCHESTER, MN (KTTC-TV) -- Some local religious leaders are hoping to strengthen acceptance of all people, especially those who are gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual.

On Monday night the Christ United Methodist Church is hosting the Faith and Fairness Town hall meeting.

Three local clergy plan to share how their faith communities have created an environment of acceptance for all people.

Father Nick Mezacapa says, "For me it's important that the church not get preoccupied with having to define all.  When we say the word all, we mean all not all and then needing to subsequently qualify that.  All means all."

The event begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
