THOMPSON, IA (FOX 47) -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is fining an Ames company for the death of a Minnesota man last spring.
OSHA issued a $4500 citation to Todd and Sargent Incorporated for failure to take safety precautions after the April 14 death of Jose Maltos of Fairmont.
Maltos had been working at a feed mill construction site near Thompson.
The citation, which was issued earlier this month, says that Maltos "was not protected from falling to a lower level by a guard rail system or personal fall arrest system".
