
Pat was born in Rochester, Minnesota on June 27, 1963 at St. Mary's Hospital. Pat graduated from Mayo High School in 1982. He was a 2-year letterman in basketball and a 4-year letterman in track and field.
Pat attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Science with a television broadcasting emphasis in 1988.
Following college, Pat went to work in Rapid City, South Dakota at KOTA-TV. After two years in Rapid City, Pat landed a job back in his hometown as a weekend sports anchor and reporter. In 2000, Pat took over as Sports Director at KTTC. He's been involved in television sports for 25 years.
Pat got married in 2003 to his wife Jamie, who works for Norwegian Cruise Lines. The wedding ceremony took place at Mayo Field prior to a Rochester Honkers baseball game. Pat has a stepson named Myles, who currently attends RCTC. Most of Pat's family lives in Rochester; his brother is Judge Kevin Lund and his sister, Sharon, is a doctor at the University of Minnesota and lives in St. Paul. Pat's father, Tony, teaches at the University of Minnesota part-time and his mother, Mary, is still very active in the community.
In his free time, Pat travels with his wife Jamie and the two enjoy watching sports. Pat also has cat named Bean.
