2nd annual Foster Fest helps put an end to human trafficking

The second annual "Foster Fest" at Forster Arend Park took place Saturday morning, with the purpose of ending human trafficking.

Foster Fest features live music, art, games, food and different vendors put on by Mission 21.

Mission 21 is a non-profit organization in Rochester that works to fight against human trafficking and serves victims of sex trafficking.

Mission 21 also provides recovery and restoration services for survivors.

"We provide those support services to get them back on track to living hopefully a normal live again. Because a sex trafficking survivor doesn't know what a normal life is," said Mission 21 Board President  Eric Shoars. "So we try to provide those services to reclaim their dignity, to reclaim their self-worth and self esteem, to rebuild them as people. So that they can go on and have the life that they were always supposed to have."

They educated children and parents at their booth, helping them recognize the signs that someone is at risk.

The music festival and fundraiser is free with a recommended donation, with all proceeds go directly to Mission 21.
