The 14th annual Warrior Football Camps kicked off on Wednesday this week. Winona State will host a pair of three day High School Camps that contain training, skill development and competition. Eight practices, scrimmages against other high school opponents is part of the schedule as the High School Fall Camps begin in a little more than a month.
Warriors offensive coordinator Cameron Keller shared his goals for the camps with NewsCenter Sports.
"Get the most work in in three days, and get out of here safe," he said. "I told the camp yesterday, when we started, that, you know I quote Tony Dungy all the time, that your best ability is your availability. We come in here, we don't want to take cheap shots, we don't want to have late hits. We want to do everything the right way, we want to do it safe, and we want to try to teach them some of the best fundamentals that we can."
Winona State's camp wraps up on Friday, before their second and final camp starts on the 16th.
