Over 26 grams of meth recovered in late afternoon bust

Two men were arrested by officers from the criminal interdiction unit during an alleged meth deal on Tuesday.

The CIU had been building a case against 35-year-old Cory Dozark since they carried out controlled meth purchases back in March. He was arrested in a car with 36-year-old Anthony Anderson around 4 o'clock during an alleged narcotics deal.

Police say Anderson picked up Dozark from an address in the 2100 block of 42nd Street Northwest.

Officers observing Dozark saw him exit the house with what appeared to be a small black cosmetic bag before getting into a Hyundai Sonata driven by Anderson.

After making a traffic stop, police found about 6 to 7 grams of meth, a scale and  $500 in cash inside the bag... as well as some powered meth spilled on the driver's side floor.

20 more grams of meth were found on Dozark's person while he was processed in jail.

Dozark faces felony charges of first degree controlled substance sales, while Anderson faces a misdemeanor 5th degree controlled substance possession charge for the meth spilled on the floor.
