ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -

A man was assaulted and robbed early this morning by a man and a woman.

Police arrested 19-year-old Kaylee Vartanian and 23-year-old Mitchell Windslow after the victim gave a description of them and their vehicle. Both Rochester residents are facing aggravated robbery charges.

The victim knows both suspects, and agreed to meet Vartanian on the pretext to smoke marijuana.

After Vartanian picked up the victim in a '94 Geo Tracker, Windslow began to choke him from behind.

The victim was then assaulted and robbed of his cell phone and $300 at the intersection of 16th Avenue Northeast and East Circle Drive.

Police were called shortly afterward, and arrested the suspects on Marion Road after they left an an address on Oak Terrace Drive.

Police say Vartanian left the stolen phone and cash with a relative and asked them to hold onto it. The victim then contacted that relative and got his property returned.
