Wasabi Steak

What you will need:

  • 1.5 Tbs wasabi powder
  • 2 Tbs dry mustard
  • 2/3 cups light beer
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2/3 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbs ground fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds


Mix together wasabi, ginger & mustard.

Add beer, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar.

Trim Shoulder steak to remove any fat and silverskin.

Add marinade to meat, covering all sides, in a ziploc plastic bag, removing as much air as possible.

Let go for 4 hours or more.

Pre heat grill to 425 degrees.

Sear on all sides and cook for about 10 minutes or so.

Remove grill with an internal temp of 130 degrees.

Sliced thin and serve with Sliced Cucumbers and Wontons.

And shredded Cabbage.

Wasabi-Orange Sauce:

  • 1 cup orange Marmalade

  • 1 cup Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbs chopped garlic
  • 2 tbs Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbs Ground Ginger
  • 1 teaspoons Wasabi Paste
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
