More than 40 iPhones stolen from Target

Rochester police say two men who stole cellphones at Target could be connected to a larger crime ring.

Interim Police Chief John Sherwin said the men "Obviously knew what to and where to go."

Around 9:45 Saturday night, two black men entered Target on Marketplace Drive in Northwest Rochester.

They then went into a back stock room with a pair of bolt cutters and took 42 iPhone 8's and iPhone X's.

The phones were placed in a suitcase, and the pair walked out.

Target employees tried to stop them, but the men kept walking.

Police say they drove away in a dark colored sedan, possibly a black Grand Prix that was parked in the north end of the parking lot.

The suspects are described as two young black men with thin builds. One had moppy medium-length hair and was wearing baggy pants.

The other had short hair with stubble on his face and was wearing tan pants with a dark zip-up top.

Each phone could be sold for hundreds of dollars at retail price.
