Valentine's Day fashion show at RCTC

Posted:
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -

RCTC Students spent their Valentine's day afternoon spreading a message of love and diversity through a fashion show.

The show titled "This Is Me" featured students wearing outfits that showcased their ethnic or religious backgrounds.

It also gave the chance for other students to show what they're focused on for the future.

"The message is Rochester is very diverse and there is a lot of groups of people and a lot of ethnicity out here and RCTC in Rochester is open to a lot of different minorities and backgrounds and those are people who are ,you know, amongst us at the school and also in our neighborhoods, in our community," said RCTC Senior Steven Henderson

Henderson says he chose a 'business casual' outfit for the show because, as a business student, it showed what he wants to focus on in the future.

Show organizers say they hope today's event promoted love of others and love of Self.

After the show, participants gave roses to those in the crowd.
