Residential burglary in Haverhill Township

Posted:

A residential burglary was reported yesterday by a 53-year-old man in Haverhill Township, after a garage door opener was stolen from his vehicle. Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns said the man believes it was stolen between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday, while his vehicle was parked at Shopko north.

The man returned to his home in the 3600 block of Valley Ridge Court Northeast to find TV's, jewelry, and prescription medication missing. The losses amounted to about $3,500. There was no sign of forced entry, supporting the theory that the garage door opener was used to get inside.
