UPDATE: RPD says urn theft suspect is ALC student

Posted:

A juvenile has admitted to stealing an urn sometime between Jan. 26- 28.

The Rochester Police Department says that a school police liaison recovered it from the student who was stealing items from random vehicles, also known as "car shopping."

These thefts took place in the area of Valley High Drive and 19th Street North West in Rochester.

Other items found in the juvenile's possession included a knife and a hatchet.

The urn is small, about the size of a salt shaker. Police say there is also a cursive "M" etched into the glass.

Anyone who wants to claim the urn should contact the Rochester Law Enforcement Center.

The juvenile is reported to be an ALC student.
