Hit and run driver on I-35 being hunted by MSP

The Minnesota State Patrol is asking for help from anyone who might have witnessed a hit-and-run incident early Saturday morning.

Sgt. Troy Christianson said a pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver a little past 1 a.m Saturday.  Maxwell Kasper, 19, of Ironwood, Michigan was walking in the I-35 median near mile marker 53 south of Faribault when he was hit.

Kasper was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis with what are being called non-life-threatening injuries.

The State Patrol said the driver kept on going.  If you have any information that might help investigators, MSP asks that you call (507) 285-7410.
