Four-year-old suffers minor injuries in snowmobile accident

Posted:

A 4-year-old child was treated for minor injuries after being hit by a snowmobile driven by his 8-year-old brother.

It happened Sunday afternoon in the 71-hundred block of Collegeview Road East, a few miles northwest of Eyota.

The 4-year-old was playing next to a hill.

According to the Olmsted county Sheriff's Office, the 8-year-old was on the other side of the hill, and didn't see his brother as he was going over the top.

The younger child was hit as the snowmobile came down, but luckily only received bruises and possibly a broken nose.

The accident took place on the family's private property.
