WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -

A vigil is planned Monday night for a Winona woman killed in a domestic violence incident last July.

34-year-old Jaida Hoffman was a 2000 graduate of Arcadia High School.

Hoffman died of a gunshot wound to the head on July 24 during a fight with a man that involved a handgun. The man killed himself before police arrived.

Jaida's mother says there was no struggle with a gun, and that she was murdered.

A candlelight vigil begins at 5:30 Monday evening, at the east end of Lake Winona, next to a bench dedicated to Jaida
