Multiple burglaries in Northwest Rochester

Several Northwest Rochester homeowners return home from work to discover broken glass and valuables nowhere to be found.

Police report three separate break-ins happened sometime during the day Wednesday.

A 62-year-old woman arrived at her home on the 5900 block of 24th avenue northwest to find someone had rummaged through her house.

She said jewelry, cash, and a computer were missing, valued at more than one thousand dollars.

Just about a block away, police investigated another break-in on the 5500 block of 25th Avenue Northwest.

The 25-year-old homeowner found glass smashed in on the patio door, and a video game console worth more than 600 dollars missing.

And a Rochester man is now without a tablet after he found his home burglarized on the 300 block of 6th street Northwest.

Police aren't sure if these are connected, but noted it's unusual for home break-ins to involve broken-glass entry.
