Longtime Rochester Restaurateur Dies

He was a familiar face to one of Rochester's most popular restaurants.

Charles Pappas died this past weekend at age 92.

Pappas, along with his brothers, opened Michael's in 1951. He often greeted movie stars and sports legends, as well as countless loyal customers at the iconic Michael's Restaurant.

Macken Funeral Home says his family is planning a wake next Monday, and a funeral on Tuesday at St. John the Evanglist.
