KASSON, Minn. (KTTC) -

A Canadian Pacific train struck a car at a rail crossing Tuesday in Kasson.

No one was hurt.

A spokesperson for the Kasson Police Department said a call for help came in at 11:45 a.m.  A CP locomotive pulling two boxcars was heading west when a car pulled out into its path at the crossing at 3rd Avenue Southwest near 1st Street.

The Kasson PD declined to release the name of the driver.  The force of the collision set off the car's airbags and the vehicle was heavily damaged.

There is no RR stop arm at the crossing, just a stop sign.  The police spokesperson said they did not have any information on how fast the westbound train was going when the car crossed in front of it.
