Brides and grooms say fall is the best time to tie the knot

Fall is now the most popular season to get married, with September and October the most popular months.

That's according to a new survey from Wedding Wire.

The data shows one in three weddings now take place in the fall.  

Ten years ago June, July and May (in that order) were the most popular months to get married.

Now it's October, September and June.

Experts say that's because couples are catching on to the cheaper prices and cooler temperatures that fall has to offer.

    Three pedestrians are injured after being hit by a vehicle in Mason City. Just before 6:30 Wednesday evening, Mason City Police reported to the site of an accident at the 200 block of North Monroe. According to police, Kaysha Baltierra was driving south on Monroe when she struck the three pedestrians who were walking south.
