A Kasson man is arrested after police said he drove into a parked car and smashed into a fire hydrant while drunk.

Rochester police were called to East Frontage Road in the area of 33rd Street Northwest in Rochester, just before 11 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the driver, 33-year-old Brian Goodwill, of Kasson, was headed south with two passengers when he hit a parked van. Several blocks later, he ran into a fire hydrant.

Officers arrested Goodwill at the scene.
