OWATONNA, Minn. (KTTC) -

Two men were sentenced on Monday for the murder of a Steele County man last year.

County Attorney Dan McIntosh told KTTC that 25-year-old Cyrus Noel Trevino, of Owatonna, will serve 32 years and seven months behind bars after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

Meanwhile, 38-year-old Gerald William Blevins, of Bemidji, will serve 12-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

The two men are responsible for the shooting death of 22-year-old Richard Jurgensen, of Medford, whose body was found on June 26, 2016 on the side of a road northeast of Owatonna. Investigators said Jurgenson's hands were bound and he was shot multiple times.

Trevino and Blevins incorrectly thought the victim was a police informant, McIntosh said.
